The greatest asset to SWUG is the ability for GIS
practitioners to come together and share their experiences and insight.
User presentations make SWUG the great conference that it is. We
would love to hear about what it is you are working on.

CALL FOR PAPERS
For the ESRI SWUG conference to be held in Park City, Utah
September 24-28, 2005 at the Park City Marriott.
Presentations are invited that address topics of
interest to the GIS community. The objective of the conference is to
provide GIS-related information and educational opportunities for anyone
in business, government, or education, with a stake in geographic
analysis. Such topics include, but are not limited to:

Cartography and Automated Mapping
-
Software Customization, .Net, VB, JAVA, Extensions
-
Overviews/Demonstrations of Procedures, Techniques,
or Operational Processes
-
Working with the GeoDatabase
-
Data Conversion, Distribution, and Metadata
-
Cadastral and Parcel Mapping
-
Starting out in GIS
-
Mobile Computing
-
Homeland Security, Fire, Flood
-
Public Utilities, Land Use Planning
-
GIS Management Strategies
-
Emerging Management Trends
All presentation topics must involve the use of ESRI
products or that of their authorized business partners and developers.
SWUG is a users group conference for GIS professionals who use ESRI
software and related products.
SELECTION:
The program committee will select presentations to represent a wide
range of interests and levels of expertise. Selection will be based on
the value of the proposed topic to the audience and the clarity of the
abstract. Entrants will be contacted by the UGIC presentation staff,
with final details and confirmation of presentation.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE AND CONTENT:
Abstract deadline is Friday, September 2, 2005 When submitting, please
include: Title, Author's Agency, Phone, E-mail, Short Abstract (200
words or less), Software, Extensions Used, and Software Maker.
Presentations are 40 minutes.
Presentations by exhibitors which market specific
products or services may be accepted as product demonstrations.
